Production Blog !!
Good morning and good evening! This blog today is about my commercial. To start off, I actually need to figure out my editing software, which, for now at least, is going to be CapCut. I won't be able to make something even slightly good without understanding at least a little of the app/editing software. To start off, I just put some random photos in there to see if it's like other softwares I used. So far, it's easy to cut/shorten pictures. Straight off the bat you can edit individual sections of photos, you can add audios to the video, you can add text, overlay the photos, add effects to the photos, use templates, change the ratio of the frame, add filters, adjust the photo looks, add "stickers" and change the color of the canvas. As you can see, its easy to do certain things to the whole video if you need, no overlaying a certain thing to achieve something like in other softwares like KineMaster. Slight intersection, I won't be using other softwares like KineMaster, IMovie or Clips because they either are too complicated (IMovie), have a visible watermark you can't get rid of without money (KineMaster) or I simply haven't used them before (Clips). All in All, I have sufficed that CapCut is the best for the job. This is because even though I have a limited experience with it, it is simple to pick up, you can remove the watermark, without cost, and I have a little experience with it. For individual photos you can split them into different sections, give them a animation, delete them of course, edit the shape, crop the size, remove backgrounds, overlay them on top of other photos, retouch the photos, mask them, copy, replace and change the opacity. This is a surprisingly large amount of things you can do, I know in comparison to other software I have used without using money. Ah yes, something else we need to address, cost. CapCut, like many other forms, has a paid and a unpaid version, for the purpose of this (and my bank account) I will be using the unpaid version of these softwares. Though using money would get me more tools and most likely a better video, I do not intend to use CapCut after I have used it's purpose for this and other school classes. I also have scoured around the internet and have found many people saying to only get the paid version if you have 1: experience, 2: the funds and 3: are planning to use the app as getting it paid can often lead to confusion on a beginners end. All in all, what I have learned so far is that the app is simple and easy to use. It provides a great editing software for beginners to make their way into editing or to use on projects free of cost. I have great hope for this software and hope it will provide me with a easily made and good looking video. Happy Birthday to whoever's Birthday it is and enjoy your days.
